Privacy Policy

JM Addons is a free documentation site for Minecraft Bedrock addons. There are no ads, no cookies, and no tracking beyond a basic anonymous visit count. Here is what the site does and does not collect.

The short version

No ads, ever. No ad networks and no ad cookies.
No cookies, and nothing saved in your browser.
Only a basic, anonymous count of visits, with no cookies and no profile of you.
No accounts, and nothing for you to fill in.
The site never collects anything that identifies you, so there is nothing to sell or share.

Analytics

This site uses Umami (loaded from cloud.umami.is) to count visits and see which pages get read. Umami is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool:

It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites.
It does not build a profile of you or fingerprint your device.
It only records rough, anonymous numbers: page views, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type.
I use it to see which guides people read and what to improve.

Cookies & storage

This site sets no cookies, and it saves nothing in your browser. No localStorage, no sessionStorage, nothing at all.

Third-party services

A few things load from other companies' servers. When your browser requests them, those companies can see your IP address, the same as with any website you visit. Each one has its own privacy policy:

Web fonts: the site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the fonts load, your browser contacts Google, which may log your IP address under its own privacy policy.
Hosting: the site is served as static files by a hosting/CDN provider, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse.
Links you click: CurseForge, Discord, and Buy Me a Coffee are separate sites with their own privacy policies. If you donate, Buy Me a Coffee handles the payment. I never see your card or payment details.

No advertising

This site shows no ads. There are no ad networks, no advertising cookies, no remarketing, and no "personalized ads." I'd rather keep the docs clean and fast.

Your choices

The site works fine with analytics blocked. If you use a content or tracker blocker, or send a "Do Not Track" signal, nothing on the page breaks. You'll read the docs the same as everyone else.

Because the site doesn't collect anything that identifies you, there is no personal data to request, correct, or delete. If you ever have a privacy question, reach out on Discord.

Children's privacy

These docs are for a general audience and ask for no personal details from anyone. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children, or from anyone else. There are no sign-ups, forms, or accounts on the site.

If this policy ever changes, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. For anything privacy-related, the best place to reach me is the JM Addons Discord.
